First students drew the flowers and lily pads with crayons on their paper. Next, students were able to use the water colors. They were instructed to mainly use just blue and green, though, after seeing what great things they were doing, I gave a little bit more leeway on the palette that they could use.
I took a four pictures of students' work, though I could have easily photographed all of the paintings; they really did all do a fantastic job! You'll be amazed when you stop by the school and see them in the hallway or when they bring them home in a few weeks.

I also took a video of the moment in between students finishing and being instructed to play games quietly on the carpet and the moment when they were to clean up completely and get ready for specialties. No one was harmed in the making of this video. However, when I glanced up from looking at Katelyn's painting, I was reminded very strongly of the novel, Lord of the Flies. For those of you who have read it, you may understand why.
I'm looking forward to a great week this next week full of practicing for Grandparents Day, planting tulips, and Grandparent's Day itself.
