I can't believe I never wrote one single post in the month of February! I guess it just went by too quickly. Here are some pictures in honor of Read Across America day.
I did want to do an update with the information I have so far about timed tests and reading calendar count on days read in the past month. Students are still able to turn in their reading calendars through tomorrow for reading tickets for the monthly reward, but if they turn in their calendar or reading days count before March 20, then the score will be changed on their report card.
I am hoping to send home a progress report tomorrow with each of my students. Students took an area quiz yesterday and they will be taking another quiz on area next week. If you are worried about your child's score on the area quiz, then please practice finding the area of irregular shapes (like an L shape or U shape).
