Then we found two ducks in the field. We petted and chased them. After Mrs. Knudsen was telling everyone to go back to the picnic tables, we chased the ducks to the fence and stuck them through.
One duck walked left, the other went right. The one who was walking right went into the water and then got out (after a near death experience) but then another duck followed him and got sucked down the drain.
We all ran to where the stream comes back out. Zac got permission to hop the fence to try to see if the sucked-through duck came out on the other side. But it didn't.
Because someone was sad in our class about the duck who got sucked through, some of us made a card for him to help him feel better.
After school, some of us will go look and see if the duck came out of the drain.
